About Abby

I have babysat for 4 different families which varied from 1-year-olds to a 6-year-old on the autism spectrum, to pre-teens. I am able to cook, clean, drive to practices or lessons or play dates and help around the house wherever I can. Beyond babysitting, I have assisted in coaching a 5th grade basketball team, worked as a youth kayak instructor and have served as a cooperative teacher at Dover Middle School while at college. I also volunteered as a literacy tutor, designing lesson plans for a 5th grade student I worked closely with to get them excited about reading and writing. My personal style is to get a read for kids' interests and appeal to those as much as possible. I enjoy spending time outside and inventing new games and activities so I would like to incorporate that into the time spent with your kids as much as possible.
