About Abigail

Hi! I'm Abby. I'm a second-year grad student working toward a masters degree in mental health counseling with a holistic specialization. My goal is to one day work doing therapy with youth and families. I have 10+ years of experience in child care, from babysitting to more formal settings like church day care. I also worked for 5 years at an annual family camp running the 13-year-old programming and eventually directing the middle school programming for kids age 11-13. In my past work I created an led experiential Justice education programming with high school aged youth. I love kids of all ages, but my favorite are 3-5 and the middle school years. My guiding value is upholding the inherent worth and dignity of every person and I center children in my childcare, understanding that kids are the experts of their own experience. My goal is to be a safe secondary adult for them to rely on as they explore the world. I'm excited to talk with you about your childcare needs!
