About Abigail

Hello! My name is Abigail and I am a State College local attending Penn State for Secondary Education with a focus in English. I have several years of experience working with children, and most recently began working at a the Hort Woods child care center through Penn State. For several semesters I have been a learning group leader at the Penn State Shaver's Creek program called Outdoor School, a week-long overnight camp for 5th graders. Last summer I worked at the State College Friends School as a lead for the Kindergarten and 1st grade groups, which included field trips to playgrounds, downtown State College, and local state parks. I have also provided math tutoring for elementary students. These programs have allowed me to learn more about teaching and caring for children of all ages. My goal this summer is to babysit while continuing to work my current jobs at Wegmans and the child care center. I hope you will consider me as a possible fit for your family!
