About Adriana

I am a Pittsburgh native, babysat during my teenage years, and I have now been primarily a middle school social studies teacher for 6 years. In addition, I am certified in teaching English Language Learners (ELL) and spent 3 years teaching English and working in Spanish in Santiago, Chile. In addition to coming from a family that speaks Spanish, I am certified in Spanish at the level C1 from the Instituto Cervantes in Spain and will happily use these skills with parents/children as needed or requested. I have had a lot of experience working with children both academically and recreationally. As well as having strong cooking and time management skills, I am adaptive and always looking for ways to enrich the lives of children in a fun, safe, engaging way. I have had pets in many of my jobs, including dogs, cats, and birds, so I am comfortable with families that have them.
