I have extensive experience with long term, skilled residents, memory care (dementia and Alzheimer's), and rehabilitation in the nursing home setting. Since working as a Nurse's Aide, it has grown to be much more than just a job or "work" to me. I have been able to create lasting impacts in peoples' day-to-day lives by making them smile and laugh and forging connections and relationships with the folks that I work with every day. It brings me great pleasure and a feeling of accomplishment to consistently show up and care for my residents, and it just so happens that I excel at what I love to do.
