About Alexa

Hi my name is Alexa! I am an elementary school teacher looking to spend the summer babysitting some awesome kids. I am just finishing up my third year teaching. This year I am as an elementary reading intervention teacher. I work with students K-5th who struggle with reading and writing. Prior to this, I was an elementary school performing arts teacher. During this time I taught students TK-5th in a public school setting all things related to theatre and music. I have a bachelors degree from Pepperdine University (2021) and also a certificate in early childhood education (2023). I hold both a multiple subject and single subject teaching credential. Due to my education and years of experience in the classroom I feel prepared to work with children ages infant to teenager. I love engaging with kids in activities like crafts, music, dramatic play, board games, swimming, going to the park, etc. I look forward to connecting and caring for your kid(s)!
