Prior to having my own children, I have had plenty of experience with caregiving. I am the eldest of 4 and have always taken a nurturing role. I spent most of junior high and high school babysitting neighborhood children, and became a nanny at the age of 18 years old for about 4 years, until I pursued my education in pastry. I love cooking and reading, and I can provide tutoring and homework services, as well as pet care. I love being outdoors, taking the kids to playgrounds and other adventures, doing crafts, playing pretend, amongst others. As my own personal hobbies, I love reading, arts and crafts such as sewing and painting, and going for walks. I am currently enrolled in the Nursing program at Brightpoint Community College, on track to graduate with my ADN in 2 semesters with the plan to transfer to VCU for my BSN. I am looking for babysitting roles over summer while classes are out of session. I believe in gentle parenting, guiding children to become confident and independent

Alicia is a gem and is absolutely phenomenal! She has helped me when I have to travel to Richmond for work. I currently live in Dallas, TX, but travel to Richmond, VA, monthly for work. I bring my 10 month old daughter with me on those trips and Alicia watches my daughter for me, while I am away at work. My daughter has a blast during those trips. She loves playing with Alicia's daughter and I love that my daughter gets the time to socialize and play with another baby. My daughter has milk allergies and uses cloth diapers and Alicia hasn't had a problem working with me and my special requests. She is always punctual, sends me text messages and videos of my daughter throughout the day. Alicia is a very attentive care giver and exudes confidence and love for my daughter. I have been working with Alicia for about 5 months now and will continue using her as long as she will have us, and as long as work brings me to Richmond. I highly recommend her and would be happy to provide her a reference for anyone who would need it or if anyone would be interested in learning more about her as a caregiver.
