About Alicia

I'm a full time supervisor and student working on my Master's degree. I've been working in childcare for over 15 years, including 7 years as a full time nanny. I've cared for children ages 2mos to 12 years. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, staying active, and cooking. I helped raise my siblings growing up, and have always dreamed of the day I get to become a parent myself. Caring for others comes natural to me, and this carries into my educational pursuits as well; studying Transformative Social Change, my intention is to use my privilege to amplify voices that aren't often heard, and to make an impact in moving our society toward equity. For me, it's a gift to be given the opportunity to be a part of a child's life. Though it may be my job to help children to learn and grow, I've found that I often gain just as much from spending time with them. I'm looking to help families with occasional childcare needs.
