About Alyssa

I'd describe my personality as friendly, patient, and empathetic. I like caring for seniors because they have so much life experience! It's so awesome to be able to hear old stories and memories from such a different time. I also know they usually don't have too many people around them (other than family) that just want to spend time doing the things they like to do. I started caring for seniors when I was 18, right out of high school. I originally was planning to go into the medical field, so I started college and worked as an aide at a nursing home that specialized in dementia/alzheimer's for about two years. After that I worked as a PCA at Lakeland Regional Health for a year, followed by in-home care for a couple for another year after that. In my spare time, I like to do lashes! I went to school to get my esthetician license about two years ago and now I work mainly as a lash technician, but I'm looking to get back into senior care as well. I miss it!
