About Alyssa

Hi there. My name is Alyssa! I'm 32 and I have been babysitting since I was around 15. In high school I babysat for my neighbor, who had twins and I had a blast! During college I kept my local babysitting jobs but I also started to nanny for a family with a toddler and a school aged child. Moving to a more consistent schedule as a nanny I started to take on more important roles in the family; such as, preparing simple meals/snacks, and getting the children dressed in the morning. I took the kids for drop off and pick up at school. I worked with them on their homework. I was also responsible for their extracurricular activities so I made sure that we were always playing in a fun, safe, and educational way. I have a Masters degree in Speech Pathology, I've always believed that children learn best from play-based activities that really cater to their strengths!
