About Amanda

I am attending college for my LPN & RN. I'm a mother of two boys. I work at the VA as CNA. I worked home hearth care for 2 years before I came to the VA. I've worked in nursing homes as well. I've taken care of with individuals with learning disabilities, dementia, and other mental and physical aspects. I'd describe my personality as personable, caring, and honest. I like caring for people as it gives me a sense of accomplishment to make a difference in someone's life. I'm looking for a job that I am able to work a couple of times a week. I started caring for seniors as soon as I earned my CNA in high school. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my children and family. I love outdoor activities and reading. One thing you should know about me is that I am caring, reliable, and treat others I care like they are my own family. My skills include having patience, making them laugh, and doing my best to help them feel better.
