About Amanda

I am a former K/1 teacher (still certified) and current private swim instructor living in South Tampa. I am the proud mother of an extremely bright and athletic 12-year-old boy. I also have two adult children off on their own. Before becoming a mother, I worked as a nanny (ages 6 months - 18 months), worked in the daycare center at our local , and babysat frequently. For all of my life, I have found happiness in including children in my activities. I'm an avid believer in incorporating learning and communication into interactions with children. At the same time, I love to have fun with kids! Swimming, bike riding, park hopping, and camping are all things I enjoy to do with kids. But don't worry, I am also a HUGE promoter of sunscreen, safety, healthy eating, and positive discipline. I also know how important routine is to children, especially younger ones. I have a great amount of patience and I'm anxious to put my extra time to good use by providing quality care for your child.
