About Amy

Hi, I'm Amy! I have a huge heart for kids and found my love for this field at a young age! I started babysitting back in middle school and knew pretty much immediately that this was something I wanted to pursue! While earning my degree in Educational Studies, I worked as a preschool and kindergarten coordinator, daycare worker, and nanny for a family whose elementary/ middle school aged son had autism. I gained a lot of experience during those years learning how to deal with children between the ages of 1-12 with differing needs. Shortly before finishing my degree, I began teaching preschool and over the past 3 years have worked in both preschool and pre-k classrooms! Currently I am the lead teacher in a 2's and 3's classroom, where I create and implement curriculum. While I have a huge passion for education, what really brings me joy is creating strong bonds with the children in my care that allow them to feel safe, supported and most importantly happy!
