About Annamarie

I'd describe my personality as playful, creative, curious I like working with kids because the joy they bring. I had a lot of great teachers and mentors as a child who helped shape me into who I am today, I feel good knowing I can be the adult who can provide reassurance or guidance now. I started working with kids when I was in community college (back in 2002!) I nannied for my neighbors 3 children (one of which was nonverbal). I initially took it on as my neighbor needed the help, I needed the money, and I knew the family well. I was amazed how quickly I bonded with the children and genuinely cared about/for them. I started doing morning care (getting ready for school) then stayed on for the summer. I only stopped working with them because I'd moved to attend a 4-year college. In my spare time, I like to garden & cook. One thing you should know about me is I'm an auntie to twin toddlers! I've been helping out with them since they were newborns.
