About Annelise

Hi! As a college student studying language as well as an experienced childcare provider, I am in a unique position to provide patient, well-informed tutoring in reading, English language, and Spanish language to children of any age. This past year, while living in Argentina, I worked with a local preschool to provide fun beginner Spanish lessons to students via video call. These lessons were a big hit, and several students have continued taking private lessons with me after the end of the school year. I have ample experience teaching ESL students of all ages -- I worked as a volunteer English teacher in Italy for six months, and currently teach online English classes to children and teens in China. My ESL experience has made me an especially perceptive teacher of phonics and reading for native English speaking children as well. I have a passion for language and a friendly, kind demeanor that will help children to feel comfortable, confident, and curious when they learn with me :)
