About Arika

Hi there! I'm an experienced caregiver for children of all ages and abilities. Before pursuing my passion of physical therapy, I was employed as a behavior technician where I cared for neurodivergent children from ages 3-14. I gained experience with cochlear implants, feeding, diaper changes/potty training, and using naturalistic teaching strategies to help children interact and learn about the world around them. I also have experience babysitting a family of 3 girls ages 6 months to 4 years old. I am an advocate for less screen time and more physical play, and love using my creativity to get kiddos excited to do real life activities and games! My calm but fun nature allows children to feel safe and flourish while they explore the environment around them. I love working with kids and want to go into pediatric physical therapy! I'm looking to make a little extra cash while I'm in PT school, ideally looking for a long term nanny position but also open to short term care.
