About Ashley

When I was 18, I became a live-in nanny for a couple who had multiple kids. They also had an in home daycare that was 24 hours 7 days a week for whoever might need a sitter. I loved my job. I did that a few years ago. I've also raised up both of my younger sisters, who are 5 and 10 years younger than myself. Most recently, I've been a stay at home stepmom. My two kiddos are 14 and 17. Our boy, who is 14, is completely wheelchair bound. He has spinabifida and recently had a full spinal fusion. Having full custody of him has taught me so much from wound care to special education. I have taught him his independence. And, we are still working to get back where he was from before spinal fusion. I miss working with younger kiddos and the enjoyment I had from it.
