About Ava

Hi, my name is Ava! I am 24 years old and pursuing my masters degree in mental health counseling. I work as a part time counseling intern at a pediatrics office using play, art, and talk therapy. For the past 2 years I taught at a therapeutic preschool for children with autism. While challenging, I absolutely adored this job. My responsibilities here required constant engagement, attention, and support for the students. Aside from regular teaching duties, we helped the children learn various skills such as potty training, eating, motor skills, nap time, and more! This job has made me very comfortable with all of the messiness that comes with children, including diapers and sick care! I am also very pet friendly Aside from this, my other work experience with children includes being a kindergarten , babysitting, and working at a day camp for children with autism. I also work as a freelance artist. I would love to craft, play, and help your kiddos with whatever they need!
