About Barbara

I have worked with seniors in a variety of settings. One summer while in high school I worked in a skilled nursing facility taking vitals and assisting residents with feeding difficulties. After I became an Occupational Therapist(OT) I worked on the rehabilitation unit of a long term care facility for 5 years. Throughout my career as an OT, I have work with seniors in a variety of outpatient settings with a variety of diagnosis including: hand injuries, strokes, head injuries, Parkinson's Disease, dementia, MS, Post polio syndrome, spinal cord injury and post hip/knee replacements. I have assisted in caring for members of my family in their senior years. I value assisting individuals to remain as independent as possible. I enjoy listening to their stories and helping to bring some joy to their day. I assist with companionship, errands/ driving to appointments, housekeeping, meal prep, exercise/walks and medication reminders. As a retired OT I am seeking p/t job doing what I love.
