About Bernadette

Hello there! I am a local born and raised on the East End of Long Island. Between volunteering in my mom's Pre-K and first grade classrooms and babysitting for neighborhood children I have over a decade of childcare experience. I have honed my skills in various settings, including food service and children's retail. This diverse background has equipped me with a unique set of skills, making me adept at managing different situations with grace and efficiency. Since then I have channeled my love of working with young people into a career, becoming a certified Social Studies teacher. I've worked in classrooms for the past four years as a permanent substitute teacher and leave replacement. This has allowed me to become adaptable and come to understand the importance of creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. I have a love of arts, crafts, cooking and baking that I absolutely love to share with the kids I work with.
