I was a part time housekeeper to a Jewish Orthodox family in the North Park neighborhood. I would do housekeeping on Saturdays during Shabbat. I would clean up the dining room from Friday's nights meal. Load the dishwasher and wash the more sensitive dishes by hand. I would keep the kitchen clean throughout the whole day. I would also clean the bathrooms and bedrooms in the morning. While I was a nanny to a different family, half of the job was also housekeeping while the children where in school/camp. I would clean a different part of the house a day. Deep cleaning the bathrooms once a week and changing bedroom linens while putting the other ones to wash. I would do the laundry for the whole family as well. And organize the clothes to be taken to the dry cleaners.
