About Brenda

I am an RN with acute hospital experience as well as long term care experience. I'm on the Cape during the summer and looking to fill some of my spare time caring for and making connections with seniors or anyone needing help. A little about my background! I started my nursing career on a sub-acute unit caring for a wide range of patients needing short term rehab. From there I moved into the hospital setting on a med-surg/telemetry unit. During this time I continued to work per diem on a long term care/Alzheimer's unit. I took some time off to stay home with my babies and then returned to the hospital and worked in Maternity for about 10 years. I am an avid gardener and love getting outside. We have two amazing golden retrievers, Knox and Kistler. I am working with Kistler to become a certified therapy dog so if that is something that interests you he can accompany me on visits to practice his skills.
