I have realized over the years that I genuinely enjoy the company of seniors and being able to bridge the gap for them regarding their needs- companionship, administering medications, cooking, household chores, etc. It brings me great joy and I am very passionate about it! I first realized this over 30 years ago when I accepted a position helping an elderly woman, while I was in college completing my degree in elementary education. I had free rent in her upstairs apartment in exchange for assisting her with cooking, cleaning, shopping, and companionship. I truly loved her company and we became dear friends for the 18 months that I stayed with her. I am looking forward to helping out others through care. com that may have similar needs.
