About Carmella

Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I feel my natural nurturing demeanor and experience make me perfect for the role. With over a decade of experience and a graduate degree in elementary education/special education I'm confident in my ability to provide reliable, safe, and engaging childcare. I have experience as an assistant supervisor of a before and aftercare, and as both a general education teacher and special education teacher. I believe in open communication with parents, ensuring their preferred communication method is followed, and providing regular updates on their child's day. While I'm comfortable enforcing household rules, I approach it with a gentle and understanding manner, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere. I'm also happy to assist with homework, meal preparation, carpooling, and light housekeeping.
