My background is that of a former elementary / junior high teacher who specialized in Title I reading and math turned university professor. I have over 30 years experience as an educator. I partially retired in December 2020 by accepting a voluntary buyout from Southwestern Illinois College where I was the Education Department Coordinator / Full Professor in order to assist with hospice care of my elderly father. I have just returned to teaching by serving as an adjunct professor for Post University where I am teaching College Success Seminar to freshman online. My previous focus was on teacher education with a focus on learning styles, reading interventions, instructional technology, children's literature, and classroom management. I'd love to help your student become more effective and tutor in any needed subject.
