About Casandra

I have spent 2 years caring for someone who has dementia, I provided showering, cooking, cleaning, laundry, medication prep, grocery shopping, playing board games, watching movies, going out for walks. She is now in assistant living facility where I still provide companionship. I cared for both my grandmother and grandfather, assisting them with showering, laundry, medication prep, took them on errands and assisted them in just about everything. I worked for a company for 20 years where I felt like I just went to work did my job and came home. I then asked myself what can I do in order to feel like I am making a difference so I tried out working with the elderly. I absolutely fell in love with the work. I feel like I am truly making a difference whenever I see a smile on their face or when I'm able to do something with them that makes them feel good. This is my passion, I feel like this is what I am meant to do. I am compassionate, caring and a fast learner.
