About Catherine

Growing up as the second child in a family of seven kids, I have had plenty of experience with children even at home. I have always been passionate and enthusiastic about caring for children! In the past 10 years, I have had many experiences working with both healthy children and children with special healthcare needs. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish at Saint Mary's College in Indiana, and completed a Master's degree in Child Life and Family-Centered Care at Boston University. I lived abroad as an au pair in Spain, caring for three children and teaching them English; I am fluent in Spanish and love getting to speak it! Currently, I am a Certified Child Life Specialist working at Rush, helping to make kids' hospital and clinic experiences less stressful and hopefully a little more fun.
