About Cayla

I have been in the teaching field for more than 10 years. I graduated from Manchester University (College) in 2011 with a BS in General Education. My teaching license is Preschool- Intermediate, but I have also taught various high school classes including being an English teacher in the Mild/Moderate Applied Skills program at North Side. While taking classes in college, I worked at a daycare and consistently worked in the infant room. I also volunteered in the nursery at my church. Besides being a teacher, I am also a licensed foster parent. To keep my license active, I am required to take at least 15 hours of training each year. I have done several of my trainings on trauma informed care. I would like to babysit from my home. I have a designated play room and a big yard. I like to create sensory bins, sight words (labeled throughout the house), and optional play. I am leaving the teaching field, but I still have a passion for creating an educational environment.
