About Charlene

My experience comes from working with senior dementia clients, aging parents, and an education background working with preschool through 2nd grade. I believe that many of the skills required for elderly care are very similar to child care. Therefore, I bring a calm and friendly demeaner, offering choices and helping solve problems. I love to read and do activities that can enrich the life of a senior. My skills include cooking, in fact I can be pretty creative depending on the palate, arts and crafts, conversation, and a jovial personality. I have worked with dementia clients and work with the family to provide a positive experience. This may include not sharing their diagnosis or helping them understand where they are and why. I am available to transport to appointments and shopping. I hope you will consider me to care for your loved one, as I will be a wonderful companion while in their presence.
