I'm best suited and happy as a nanny despite having a business degree. I wholeheartedly love working with children. Being around children is effortless and a natural gift of mine. I'm currently a nanny for a 2-year-old girl in the Seaport District. The family is moving at the end of the month. I've nannied for other families in Boston all who have eventually moved out to the suburbs. I'm the eldest child of several siblings. From the age of 13 to 18 I babysat for a family who had 3 daughters. While attending university I worked in two childcare centers simultaneously. In the mornings I worked at the Catholic church working mostly in the infant and toddler room. At the Methodist church I worked mostly with school aged children in the after school program. During the summer I was involved with planning and supervising the weekly field trips. I find that children are naturally uplifting and easy to get along with.

Chauna came to the rescue when our regular sitter had a last minute conflict and we needed coverage while we worked from home. She is a real-life Mary Poppins w an intuitive gift for connecting with children. Her presence is calming. She asked thoughtful questions to learn about our household parenting style and adjusted to keep things consistent for our girl, and within no time at all I watched my usually slow to warm little fireball melt into Chauna's lap allowing me to focus on my work, knowing that my child was engaged and receiving the kind of support and care that we strive to provide. What a lovely human being. It was a pleasure having Chauna in our home.
