About Chelsie

I'd describe my personality as positive, engaging and friendly! I like working with kids because they have an optimistic wonder for life and no two days are the same :) I'm looking for a job to supplement my income. I started working with kids when I was 18 and continued my career as a preschool teacher for 13 years. I've worked with children from infant to teens, but my primary teaching was with ages 2-5 with a focus on emotional development and regulation. In my spare time, I like to go to the beach, movies, local shows and I sing in a women's choir. One thing you should know about me is that children's education is my passion. I'm dedicated to fostering their curiosity, independence and growth. My skills include de-escalation of big emotions and teaching how to best deal with these feelings. I'm skilled at guiding kids to and through transitions, like from playing to potty/meal/nap. I'm also skilled in engaging kids, they learn and we have lots of fun!
