My experience in tutoring in reading comes from learning the Phonics for Reading & Spelling method and then using it to teach each of our children to read. In addition to experience in teaching reading, I have strong math skills with a background in Saxon Math and strong English skills using the Institute for Excellence In Writing method. I home schooled our youngest child through high school with assistance from Classical Conversations. Most recently I've been tutoring a 4th grade boy in the core subjects through video call during the pandemic. He enjoyed learning through games and hands on fun like science experiments Part-time. Mt. Pleasant and nearby communities.
