I enjoy spending time with the elderly. So much to learn from them. I can definitely say that my life was greatly enriched while provide help and assistance to the elderly. Learning from their life experience and wisdom made me a better person. I have personal and work experience assisting those with special needs due to aging or medical conditions. I helped my mom transition into living in a nursing home and looked after her for 14 years until she passed away this year. I have experience in Memory Care and also worked as an assistant to the psychiatrist in Psych Rehab. I worked as a live-in for a year and did 2 years of hospice service. I am a great cook. I specialize in cooking healthy meals to lower blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. Also able to assist in maintaining mobility and a good mood. I maintain a clean environment, keep track of medications, doctor's appointments, run errands and engage in lively conversations.
