About Courtney

I was formerly a Pre School/Day Care teacher, then got my Substitute licensing for this last school year. I am currently enrolled at Portland State to get my Teaching License and a Masters in Educations so I can teach secondary science classes! As a High School student I worked with a family with 3 kids for three years as a nanny in the summer time. I am able to drive and work around scheduling easily since I only have 2 classes over the summer, which are twice a week (Saturdays and Friday evenings). I am also certified in CPR/First aid through Red Cross, as well as have taken many child development classes for infants and childcare through PSU. My undergrad was at University of Oregon, and I received a Bachelors of Chemistry. After working at a winery, switched to education because I love how working with kids is something new everyday. So I also am able to help tutoring in areas such as math science and reading!
