About Danica

I have 6. 5 years of experience working with children. A little over one year of this experience was tutoring two 3rd graders during at home/distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in Portland, Oregon. Schools were shut down, so I had the opportunity to assist with online classes, tutoring, and homework help. I was also responsible for free-time project creation, developing award systems, and tracking education performance overall. Before the pandemic, 5. 5 of my childcare experience were spent working with an after-school arts program for elementary - aged children. During my time with this program, I successfully completed the required child care trainings each year. When I was younger, I had the opportunity to learn from a Behavioral Specialist, who came to my home to help my family learn effective ways to communicate with one of my younger siblings who was having a difficult time communicating their feelings and needs.
