She was not truthful from the start, misrepresenting both her availability and skills. She claimed to have reliable transportation but later revealed she needed to leave during key work hours to accommodate her husband’s schedule. Additionally, she lacked basic household skills, such as ironing and using a dishwasher, which she had claimed experience in. Worse, she provided her own phone number as a reference, further demonstrating dishonesty. We initially agreed on a part-time schedule of four to six hours per day. However, she abruptly quit her previous night job, without my suggestion or approval, and then began expecting full-time pay. At no point did I indicate she should leave her other employment, as I was still evaluating her fit for the role. I never intended for this position to be full-time. She ultimately quit while I was out of town, leaving us in a difficult situation. Her unprofessional behavior and lack of ethics made this a highly frustrating experience. Be very very careful.
