About Deanna

I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years. I have a doctorate in healthcare administration and a master's degree in applied gerontology. I am a credentialed gerontologist, a certified dementia care professional, a certified Alzheimer's disease and dementia care trainer, a Red Cross certified first aid/CPR trainer, and certified Eden Alternative Educator. I am also a college professor for two colleges and I teach healthcare administration and gerontology courses. I got my start as a certified nursing assistant at age 19. I have worked many direct care roles over the years with older adults and medically fragile children. I provide care in a cheerful and graceful manner. I embrace a person-directed approach and work to promote the elder's autonomy and self-determination. And when the time comes, I provide dignified end-of-life care. I work full time during the week but I'm available on the weekends. I seek this role to help pay for my daughter's college tuition.
