About Emily

Hi, my name is Emily! I am a reliable, hardworking, patient, and creative tutor who is eager to work with you and your child to rekindle their love for learning! I am finishing up my first year of graduate school studying speech-language pathology. Ever since high school, I have spent time working both paid and unpaid with children who have a variety of special needs including Autism and ADHD. At the graduate level, I have gotten to administer and interpret assessments of expressive language, receptive language, and literacy which has been wonderful expedience. I have also treated these children on literacy-related goals and communicated with caregivers/classroom teachers to develop a plan. As an undergrad student, I volunteered as a math teacher at the elementary-level and minored in public education. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in many of the local CREC schools with children as young as 3 up through high school. I look forward to working with you!
