About Elara

Being the middle child of nine, I have been caring for children the majority of my "adult" life. I come from a family of both biological and adopted children and have grown up around children with different needs (behavioral and mental disabilities) and backgrounds. Aside from familial experience, I have also taught children ages 2-14 in dance classes, babysat for many other families of multiple children and supervised stations for a summer camp. I love children and the joy they bring to life, from the time they're just a newborn to 6 and 7. To watch someone learn, grow and experience the things of life for the first time, is just an amazing experience and feeling. Aside from my love of children, I do seem to have a magnet affect with them and can often be found at the 'kids table' or in the corner playing dress-up at any social get together.
