Hello! My name is Elise and I have been working in education for 10+ years. I am a certified middle school teacher who is looking for a fun family to work with this summer! I have been an eighth grade teacher in Connecticut Public Schools for the past 7 years. I hold a masters degree in secondary education with a focus in English Language Arts. I have taught seventh and eighth grade English and various reading interventions. I have worked afterschool programs ranging from homework tutoring, arts and crafts, along with sports. For the past two years I have directed our middle school drama program. I have previous experience as a nanny where I worked with a family for two years. I used to be head counselor at a girls overnight camp, so you could say that summer fun is my specialty! I am also a tutor for special needs and gifted child with a specialty in reading, writing, and comprehension. I am more than happy to combine summer academic enrichment with lots of summer fun!
