I have a huge family, with about 40+ first cousins. This allowed me to start babysitting at a young age. I graduated from UNM with a degree in speech & hearing sciences where I took several courses learning about child development along with disabilities. I was immersed in the elementary school setting for some of my courses which allowed me to work directly with children. Being around children brings me so much joy and their total presence in the moment is a beautiful reminder of how I should live my life. I have provided in-home care for a 6-month-old, 1-year-old, 2-year-old, & 6-year-old. I was able to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. The 2-year-old that I cared for had Leukemia, so I proceeded to take extra precautions to create a safe and healthy environment for this child. I am currently only available on the weekends.
