About Emily

I worked as a nanny to family starting in 2020 to a 6 mo until she was 2. My duties included meal/snack prep, supervising, planning and executing activities and crafts, swimming supervision, reading, and teaching. I taught her to sing her ABC's, identify letters by sight, upper or lowercase, the phonetic sound and at least one word for each letter. She could count to 10, identify colors, identify shapes including 3D shapes, and knew some ASL. As a baby I taught her several signs including but not limited to More, Thank You, Story, and Eat. We spent at least an hour outside each day as well as occasional trips to the library, park, mall or water park. If weather was especially nice we'd spend most of the day outside with books, toys, water play, and multiple walks around the neighborhood. I also did light housework including sweeping, mopping, tidying and dishes. I was adamant about teaching her to clean up her own messes with me after play.
