I have a wide range of experience with all K-12 age groups! From 2016 to 2020 I did seasonal work with the YMCA in MN to provide after school care and summer programming. In my 4 summers with the Y I worked primarily with incoming kindergartners and 1st graders, eventually working my way up to the age group Lead Staff. Did serve grades K-8 and I have experience with each grade. I maintained First Aid/CPR certification through ASHI and participated in continuous training for child care best practices. We took 3 field trips per week, so I am well accustomed to the higher-stress parts of care! In May of 2021, I completed my degree in Secondary English Education. Between student teaching and my first year of teaching, I have covered grades 7-12. Whether I am playing with my little cousins or teaching American Literature, I am always grateful for an experience to uplift youth.
