About Emily

I have been in Elementary Education for the last six years teaching Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grade. I'd describe my personality as calm, light-hearted, and driven. I like working with kids because I love to see how their personalities grow and change every day. They have such an optimistic and inquisitive view on life that I am passionate about preserving and developing. I'm looking for a job that is open to allowing for errands and transportation of my own daughter to evening activities. I started working with kids when my daughter was born 14 years ago. Since then I have nannied with Care. com, been a substitute teacher within multiple school districts, and been the classroom teacher for various grade levels. In my spare time, I like to go camping, kayaking, single track mountain biking, read, and enjoy the sunshine! One thing you should know about me is that I understand hectic family schedules. My skills include being a full-time mother, elementary teacher, and explorer.
