About Emily

I'd describe my personality as attentive, open-minded, and responsible! I like working with kids because they remind me of how exciting and wonderful the world is, and I love getting to learn and explore things together. I started working with kids as a babysitter and part-time nanny through high school. I continued to nanny part-time throughout the academic year when I was in college, and worked as a special needs counselor during summers. I also worked in child development research for a couple of years! As I've studied child development, it's important to me to employ strategies and plan activities that help kids meet developmental goals and learn important skills. I do my best to incorporate this into the way I interact with kids! I'm a licensed CNA, so I have experience managing minor injuries/first aid, assisting with dressing, toileting, feeding, etc., and am CPR certified. This has led me to be responsible, patient, and a strong communicator.
