Hi! I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education and I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in 2017. I love working with kids. I have been a classroom teacher the last 6 years, teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. In college, I worked at a daycare. I usually worked with kids 4 weeks- 18 months. I have babysat children ages birth-9 since I was in high school. I was the head teacher of a preschool summer camp in summers during college as well. I am CPR and first aid certified, although I need to renew my license for that. I love to do crafts and take kids outside to play or go on walks!! I can also tutor and/or teach students during my time with them. I also know how to cook so I am able to prepare any meals that the children may need. I have reliable transportation.

We love Emily! My youngest son, in kindergarten, was struggling to keep up with the new reading and math requirements, and Emily worked with him twice a week to help him get on track. We will be continuing to work with her this next year in first grade!
