I have worked in the geriatric field for 12 years. I started out working at Pandora rehabilitation center for seniors right out of high school, I finished my certified nursing assistant program. My job duties included bathing, dressing, feeding, routinely exercise, and emotional support for patients and family. After two years I decided to venture out in the geriatrics field and found my dream job at Wesley life adult day services in Des Moines as a life enrichment partner. My daily duties consisted of making breakfast, serving lunch, daily exercise, reading the news, activities, arts and crafts and emotional support for participants and family members. After 5 years at Wesley life I took on nights and weekend as an in home caregiver for A man named J. I became attached to J, After my maternity leave was over I decided to leave Wesley adult day center, and become a full time care giver for J. My duties included cooking breakfast, lunch, bathing, transportation.
