About Erika

Hi! I'm Erika and I am offering my services as an arts tutor. My undergraduate degree was in Fine Arts and my graduate in Education. I am certified to teach in multiple states, including New York. I have eight years of full time experience in education, with ages PreK-12. I have taught elementary, middle school, and high school art for a combined seven years. I also independently ran art summer camps for students older than 5th grade. I have extensive experience with students with special needs. I help my students to realize their full creative potential by focusing on both technical art skills and conceptual exploration. I specialize in painting, drawing, and printmaking. However, I also have a strong background in photography and digital art (photoshop). Simple animation, ceramics, and sculpture (kiln free) is also part of my curriculum. I integrate art history into my lessons in order to bring an academic, historical, and cultural perspective into the art
