About Gabriela

Hi There! My name is Gabby and by day, I'm a full-time wildlife care specialist for the San Diego Zoo. By afternoon/night, I hope to help support you and your family thrive in a variety of ways, from babysitting and elder care, to helping mom or dad with tasks around the house, to pet sitting/walking/training. I have extensive experience caring for rare species so helping children and animals alike thrive is second nature to me. My philosophy to working with both human and animal behavior includes redirecting unwanted behavior, praising desired behavior, and interrupting potentially hazardous behavior. I am CPR, First-Aid, and mental First-Aid trained, re-certified this year. I also have experience as a vet tech so I can administer medication, change bandages, or help with physical therapy.
