About Gia

Hi! My name is Gia . I am 20 years old and attend college at Fordham University. I am from Long Island, New York, but I live in New York City during the school year and summertime. I'd describe my personality as friendly, warm, empathetic, and compassionate. I love to read, journal, cook, try new coffee shops, listen to music, and spend quality time with friends/family. I like working with kids because they bring out a childish, yet motherly side of me. Kids are a joy to be around; their energy is literally contagious. I started working with kids when I was around 15 years old. This is when I began volunteering, and eventually working for, the theater department at my high school. As a choreographer for the Bayport-Blue Point Theater department, I choreograph and teach dance routines to young children. Currently, I am studying abroad in Spain. It is here where I volunteer at the local school and teach English to Spanish-speaking students. This is the highlight of my week.
